Support Saleh Ahmed Bhuiyan (Manik) to Navigate through a Storm
Hello Batch 90 friends!
As we eagerly countdown to our third reunion in New York, We’d like to share an important and difficult update regarding one of our Batch 90 brothers, Saleh Ahmed Bhuiyan (Manik).
Saleh, a Civil Engineer living in the New York City area, was a resident of Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall during our BUET days. Over the past few years, he has been battling serious health issues, including a major open-heart surgery. Unfortunately, his heart condition, along with other ongoing health challenges, has significantly impacted his ability to work in his field. To make ends meet, Saleh has been working part-time in ridesharing services like Uber, Lyft, and TaxiCab in the NYC area. However, due to the worsening of his health (he was recently hospitalized), it has become increasingly difficult for him to continue these activities. As of now, Saleh is without a stable home.
In light of this, Saleh is in urgent need of support, both financially and emotionally, to help him navigate these difficult times. This is a storm that no one should face alone, and we, as Batch 90, have an opportunity to show the strength of our bond.
We are currently assembling a team to help Manik on his path to stability. Our efforts will include assisting with job applications, securing state and/or city aid, providing at least six months of housing, helping him purchase a car for ridesharing, and supporting him in starting a business, if feasible. Our goal is to raise as much as possible to carry out these targeted actions. We are dedicated to raising the necessary funds quickly to offer him a lasting solution to his challenges.
